Up yours

And I like to isolate myself, confide in myself and be alone by myself. I find peace being with me. If you can't deal with that, bug off. I don't want you and I very well don't need you. Whatever utterance you have, I don't want to hear. Shove whatever your mouth wants to spill up your own ass. You ain't know shit about me.

Singapore is a stressful country

My knees are turning weak and wobbly. Train rides are excruciating now. Anyway, did you know that the word "Mandarin" (as in court official not the language) comes from the Malay word, "Menteri". The word "compound" comes from the Malay word, "Kampung". Oh well. I just thought of mentioning it. Knowledge is meant to be shared.

Solemnization

Today I attended hoN's brother solemnization. The Tok Khadi was seriously hilarious. Gone were the days where the Tok Khadi job was to simply sit on the cushion, hold the groom hand and say, "Aku nikah kan kau...". The now Tok Khadi give funny speech and jokes as well. It sure tone down the tensioned atmosphere, and I actually found myself listening to all that he had to say. One part that truly made us all cracked up was when he said how people pronounce "Astaghfirullahhalazim" as "AstaghfirullahHELLazim". As said by him, "Yang disebut "AstaghfirullahHELLazim". Kan nak minta masuk neraka tu". He continued, "Ada lagi satu tapi tak sepopular iaitu "AstaghfirullahHOLEazim". Ah masuk la lobang lobang neraka". You should have seen his gestures and facial expressions. Priceless.

The hantaran (dowry). Picture on the left are by the groom to the bride and on the right are from the bride to the groom. (I make it sound so confusing. Tsk)

The bride and groom. Nana, I know I don't need to remind you but... you are married! I can't believe it! So now I shall wait for little Nanois.

Presenting the four Camgigolos. Say... who killed the air steward?

Seriously they camwhore worse than I do with my friends. I even have a video of them doing the army drill, "Kekanan lurus..." And to think all four of them are much older than me.

Spot the three brothers and the three extras. Say... where's Bart?
And again, to think all of them are much older than me. But then, this are the same people who introduced me to laughter (think tears streaming from your eyes. that kind of hilarity) in the form of silly games and riddles at 3am in the morning. So what's not to love about a bunch of over-aged adults playing childish games eh?

And in case you were wondering the lack of yours truly in the pictures, well let's just say I was the photographer today. This is the first for I'm usually in the pictures and not the one clicking the button away. Tsk.
